Every youth musician will play.
 
The orchestra season parallels the school year: August through May. Students may audition at any time during the season. All rehearsals take place at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, 1800 Rev. Woods Blvd.
 
Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. Our flagship orchestra is a full orchestra for skilled musicians, ages 14-22. Rehearses Sundays, 2-4pm in the recital hall.
 
Jazz Ensemble. Rehearses Sundays, 4:15-5:30pm in the recital hall.
 
Magic City Youth Orchestra. An intermediate level orchestra for talented musicians, ages 9-16. Rehearses Mondays, 6:30-8pm in the recital hall.
 
Beginning orchestra. Beginning Orchestra offers training for students new to ensemble playing. Rehearses Mondays, 7-8pm in Room 263. Directed by Craig Hultgren.
 
Other ensembles: woodwind choir, brass choir, gospel ensemble
