Spring 2012 Opportunities for New Students

We are still accepting registrations for the few remaining spots through January 18th. 

All registrations from this point depend on space availability.

 Class Listings for Spring 2012 for NEW students:

The three classes below are for students who do not already play an instrument and are interested in starting an orchestral instrument next fall.

General Music Class

Introduce your child to singing, rhythm, and note-reading in a fun and creative atmosphere. 

Children’s Choir
11:00AM-12:00PM
Ages 8-12

Be part of a team that sings!  Learn how to cultivate voices together in an ensemble setting.

Beginning Recorder
11:00AM-12:00PM
Ages 8+
Instructor, Chris Sweatt
Learn basic rhythm and sight-reading while playing “”Recorder Karate.”  Earn a colored belt for every piece that you master! 

Classes Open by Audition Only (previous instruction on your instrument is required)

These classes are for students who already play an instrument. Auditions will be held by appointment. Younger students will be placed in the recorder or violin class. Older students will be placed in Levels 1 through 4.

*Levels 1 and 2 will come at 10AM and will be finished at 12:30PM unless the student would like to participate in this class:

Music Theory

All Ages, intended for interested Level 1 and 2 Scrollworks students and Academy students

*Levels 3 and 4 will come at 12:00 PM unless the student would like to participate in this class:

Advanced Choir
11:00AM-12:00PM
Ages 12+, intended for interested orchestra members and Academy students

*Students who did not audition on January 7 must pass an audition on January 21, 2012 in order to participate

Level 3 strings will be finished at 3:30. All other Level 3 and 4 musicians will be finished at 4:00.
